Pokemon fans had been expecting Nintendo to announce the release of a new Pokemon game at the E3 2015, which is usually where most gaming companies unveil their major updates and new games. However, followers of the highly successful franchise were disappointed as the E3 ended yesterday with no announcement about a sequel of "Pokemon Z" by Nintendo.

However, several reports with details of "Pokemon Z" have surfaced online.

A report by Yibada published just three days ago claims that "Pokemon Z" will be a sequel to "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y", which were made available almost two years ago. The article also states that similar to the two previous installments, the Z version will highlight a particular Pokemon named Zygarde this time.

For now, there are several Pokemon-related releases that fans can enjoy while waiting for the upcoming sequel. "Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon", which is a "dungeon role-playing game", is Nintendo's 2015 Pokemon release. Just recently, the premiere date for the rogue-like video game had been announced and players will be able to enjoy the game by September this year.

Apart from the game, Pokemon enthusiasts can also enjoy several other Pokemon-related launches, including the "Pikachu the Movie" episode on "Pokemon XY" that was recently aired, Minecraft's unofficial Pokemon Mod, and the new stages and Pokemons that were part of the recent update received by "Pokemon Shuffle" to satiate their appetite for "Pokemon Z".

The release date or even the existence of "Pokemon Z" is yet to be confirmed. The Pokemon franchise will be celebrating its 20th anniversary next year and Nintendo is likely to celebrate the milestone by launching a new full game. Fans will have to wait until Ninetendo makes an announcement about the 3DS game, with most Pokemon enthusiasts fervently hoping for an early release.
