'Prison Break' season 5 spoilers, news: potential reunion between Sara and Michael

(Facebook / Prison Break)Brothers Michael and Lincoln will be back in 2017 for another season of "Prison Break."

The revival of "Prison Break" is well underway, and though fans very well know about Michael's fate and whereabouts, there's one person who has yet to discover the truth: Sara.

In a new trailer released by FOX, Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) appears before Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and the latter is surprised by the visit. Since everyone assumed that Michael (Wentworth Miller) was already dead, Sara and Lincoln have obviously led different lives since then.

As Lincoln hands over what appears to be a photo of Michael, Sara's hands shake while she reaches for the evidence that Michael is alive on the other side of the globe. This revelation may be a little bit too huge for Sara, who is already married to another man. Aside from her marriage, Sara has yet to tell little Mike that his father is alive. How will the child react to this big news? Will he understand why Michael was never around to see him grow up?

Probably the biggest scenes in "Prison Break" season five are the reunions between Lincoln and Michael, and that of Michael and Sara. For many years, Sara tried to remove Michael from her memory, but as seen in the first trailer for the upcoming installment, Sara may never have found the strength to do so.

As for Lincoln, the teaser hints that he will have a long and arduous journey before him as he tries to break his younger brother out of the Yemeni prison where he is being held. While getting Michael out of prison is probably a piece of cake for Lincoln, the fact that Michael is on foreign soil makes the task a whole seven years harder.

A new scene for little Mike is also featured in the new clip, as well as new sequences that show more of Lincoln's travails as he tries to get Michael out of the hell that he's in.

Will Sara and Michael have the same amount of love for each other after all these years? How will little Mike react when he finally meets his father?

"Prison Break" season five is expected to premiere sometime early 2017.
