The announcement that Square Enix has a "Final Fantasy VII" remake in its docket during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2015) caused a lot of excitement and enthusiastic reactions from fans of the franchise. But the company has been quiet since then, causing fans to wonder and worry about the state of the highly-anticipated game.

The silence from Square Enix must be deafening for "Final Fantasy" fans, and reports that the studio might be having difficulty coming up with a version that would do justice to the original game has not helped alleviate fears.

To that end, several sites have suggested several options or features that fans are clamoring for. One feature that fans believe is suited to the game is multiple storylines, particularly with the wealth of characters that the game has. Aside from Cloud, there's also Barret Wallace, the leader of AVALANCHE, Cloud's childhood friend Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Red XIII, Cait Sith, Cid Highwind, Vincent Valentine and Yuffie Kisaragi.

Gamers would undoubtedly like to play Sephiroth too. Giving gamers the chance to learn more about the characters' back story would definitely make the game more engaging and is also a good way of paying homage to the original game.

A multiplayer mode is also something that can refresh the "Final Fantasy VII" remake, especially since the game is also renowned for its numerous mini-games. The remake can certainly take a page from the highly successful "World of Warcraft" and let players explore this world with their friends.

The multiple storylines and multiplayer mode is certainly doable in this day and age, what with the numerous game engines and platforms that Square Enix can choose from.

Despite it being touted as a remake, the developer can always build on the story and introduce something new through Downloadable Contents (DLC) and fans are hoping that Square Enix will utilize this option.

There might not be any news regarding the "Final Fantasy VII" remake but there's sad news about the game's G-Bike service. According to the game's official website, the company is ending the G-Bike service on Dec. 15, 2015, as they can no longer provide a satisfactory service.
