The reboot of the Terminator franchise called "Terminator Genysis" has released an official trailer, and critics are dubbing it as confusing rather than exciting.

Fans of the Terminator franchise are eager for the release of the fifth movie called "Terminator Genysis." It has been reported that the movie will steer away from the story lines of the past Terminator movies. Some say that it is intended to be a stand-alone movie, disregarding all the happenings that were nested into the viewers' minds.

The two minute and thirty second trailer completely distanced itself from the earlier films, with the same characters played by much younger actors. The T-1000 is still shown, played by actor Byung-hun Lee. Emilia Clarke's character, Linda Hamilton, mouths the words "Come with me if you want to live!" Arnold Schwarzenegger was also seen in the trailer, jumping from a helicopter.

If there's anything that the critics lauded, it is Emilia Clarke's portrayal of Linda Hamilton in this alternate, completely new universe. However, Jai Courtney's Kyle Reese is frowned upon, looking nothing like the original Kyle Reese from the first movies.

The official synopsis of Terminator Genisys says that the setting is fast forwarded to 2029, with John Connor as the leader of the resistance that continues its war against machines. Connor is fearful of a new breed of TECOM spies and a new plot by SkyNet that promises to attack him on the past and future, thus affecting warfare for the rest of times.
