Things haven't been going so well recently with "The Big Bang Theory's" Sheldon. Fresh from his girlfriend Amy's refusal to have children as soon as possible, the scientist will also be rocked with news that prompts some professional jealousy.

The previous episode is being touted as the best episode of the season, as Amy's (Mayim Bialik) research prompted Sheldon (Jim Parsons) to seriously consider having children. Unfortunately for him, Amy isn't too keen about being a mother right now and was able to withstand his attempts at seduction. Meanwhile, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) appears to have finally met his match in Isabella (Maria Canals Barrera), the cleaning lady.

"The Big Bang Theory" fans will be treated to another fun hour in episode 9 when Sheldon becomes very jealous of a geologist coworker who recently won the MacArthur Genius fellowship award. Meanwhile, Howard (Simon Helberg) comes across a remote-control Stephen Hawking action figure that he created years ago.

A trailer for the upcoming episode, "The Geology Elevation," opens with Sheldon ranting to his buddy Leonard (Johnny Galecki) about being surpassed by a geologist. The man in question is later shown saying hi to the guys, while a surly Sheldon pointedly ignores him. The clip ends with Sheldon limping home, aided by Leonard. He explains to Amy and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) that he tried to throw away his anger but ended up throwing a rock at his foot. Leonard looks injured as well, as a wadded tissue is seen hanging from his nose. When prompted by a worried Penny, he reveals he laughed so hard at Sheldon that he burst a blood vessel.

Viewers will also see the venerable Stephen Hawking guest in episode 9 as himself. Meanwhile, the series will also be welcoming another iconic character on its Dec. 1 episode as "Back to the Future's" Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) is slated to appear.

Episode 9 of "The Big Bang Theory" will be aired on CBS on Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. The show will take a break for Thanksgiving and will return with a new episode on Dec. 1.
