Following the announcement of "The Originals" season 4's official premiere date, new reports are out which suggest that the upcoming installment will potentially tackle the darker side of magic, which is voodoo.

Rumor has it that voodoo and witchcraft may become central themes in "The Originals" season 4. The said topics have not yet been explored in the previous seasons and Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) fate may be the perfect storyline that will initiate the rise of voodoo in the series.

"The Originals" writer Michelle Paradise took to Twitter last month, revealing some shady notes on the first draft for episode 412. Part of the writer's post reads: "A lot of awesome stuff happens in the pages before this... Blood is spilled, lips are kissed, vows are made, magic is done..."

It has also been revealed that the 12th episode of season 4 is titled "Voodoo Child." Who is this child? Is it Hope (Summer Fontana)? There is a good chance that the episode will focus largely on Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Klaus' daughter. After all Hope has a mix of bloods running through her veins: that of a witch, a vampire, and a werewolf.

Hope's powers have yet to be revealed in the upcoming installment, but many are already convinced that Klaus' daughter is one of the most powerful yet in her clan. Being a hybrid product of Klaus and Hayley's lineage, it can be safe to assume that Hope will develop strong powers that could be enough to save her dying brood.

Meanwhile, fans are looking forward to the highly anticipated reunion between Hope and her father. "The Originals" season 4 premieres at a time when Hope is now a 7-year-old girl who somehow understands the things happening around her. In the trailer for the upcoming season, Hope asks Hayley if they will be seeing Klaus. It only shows that Hope is just as excited as viewers to finally meet her infamous father.
