'Vikings' season 3 spoilers: King falls for Lagertha, mysterious wanderer with healing powers visits Kattegat

Historical drama "Vikings" has ample stories and twists for seasoned viewers in season three. Based on spoilers floating around, following aspects of the plot can be expected by viewers in the upcoming episode:

1. The Wanderer: An enigmatic figure, called "The Wanderer" enters Kattegat and his arrival is dreamt by Siggy and Helga, according to TV Guide. Creator Michael Hirst told TV Guide about the mysterious figure, saying, "His coming has a huge and dramatic impact on these three women. And on Aslaug, because he turns out to have healing abilities and gifts and he helps her with her crippled and troubled son, Ivar."

2. Lagertha's new lover: Lagertha is a free woman now and travels to Wessex. There, King Ecbert takes a keen interest in her because she is not only a wife and a mother, but also a warrior. Zap2it reports that Lagertha and Ecbert will be spending a lot of time together.

3. Floki and Ragnar's falling out: Being a staunch Pagan and religious man, Floki will be struggling between his loyalty to Ragnar and his faith in the gods as the former develops a curiosity towards Christianity. This may cause a falling out. Actor Gustaf Skarsgård, who plays Floki, told Zap2it that, "Floki's the most Pagan of them all, so he'll criticize anything that's flirting with Christianity."

4. Vikings take Paris: Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the plot surround season three is that the Vikings raid Paris. History books record that the Vikings took Paris with a 100 boats and 3,000 men. The bloody battle will be intriguing to watch for Viking fans.

5. Bjorn's transition to a leader: Season two saw Bjorn's transition from a boy to a man and season three will show him becoming a leader. Viewers will also see his romance with fiancée Porunn.

Season three airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. on History channel.
