Google Nexus 7 2016 release date at October event? what to expect

(ASUS website)Asus manufactured the current Google Nexus 7, but the rumored 2016 is believed to be manufactured by Huawei.

News about Google Nexus 7 has been persistently making the rounds for months now. Although the said gadget has not been officially confirmed by Google, it is believed to be unveiled during the event that will happen on Oct. 4.

According to reports, Oct. 4 will be called the Google Pixel launch event. The name of the event coincides with long-standing rumors that Google Nexus phones will undergo rebranding and will be called Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. Although there are no confirmations saying that Google tablets will undergo any rebranding, a rumored 2016 variant is widely believed to be launched simultaneously with the said Android phones.

A well-known gadget insider has maintained that Huawei is working on a Nexus 7 to be released before the year ends. The information coincides with a statement released by Huawei saying they do not comment on future products, but also stated, "We are proud to have worked with Google, which is strong in innovation, on the Nexus 6P and will continue to collaborate in the future, such as our support for Daydream, the recently-announced platform for high performance mobile VR."

Rumors and speculations about Google Nexus 7 2016 are plenty as well. With the unveiling of the Android Nougat, the upcoming tablet and phones of Google are all believed to run with the said operating system.

Google Nexus 7 2016 is further believed to boast of a 7-inch screen with Quad-HD pressure-sensitive display. It is widely speculated to have 4 GB worth of RAM with Micro SC support system of up to 2 TB.

The current model of Google Nexus 7 continues to receive positive feedbacks. While sources seem to be accurate and to support each other, all news should still be taken with a grain of salt.
