The eighth "Fast and Furious" film is speeding its way to development and production and more details have been revealed about it. The most recent updates are about its official title and about Cody Walker's role in the film.

When the newest "Fast and Furious" film was announced, fans speculated on what the movie will be called. With the seventh film carrying the official title "Furious 7," many thought that the eighth one will carry that same tradition, however, some thought otherwise and said that it may deviate a bit with the title and be called, "Fast 8."

On Sunday night, Vin Diesel finally answered the big question. Comicbook.com reported that after accepting the award for "Choice Action/Adventure Movie" at the Teen Choice Awards, Diesel talked a bit about their "brother" Paul Walker and ended his speech with, "I love all of you. I love all of you, and until 'Fast 8.'"

That mostly settles what the eighth "Fast and Furious 8" movie is going to be called. But fans still have a lot of pressing questions in mind, such as the plot and character details.

It was previously reported that Diesel had been updating fans of the action racing franchise via his Instagram account. After posting a photo of his character, Dominic Toretto, and Kurt Russell's Mr. Nobody, viewers speculated that the latter will be reprising his role on the next movie.

In a Jimmy Kimmel interview, the 64-year-old Russell said, "I got an idea, a sense of what Vin maybe wants to do in the future that this character could be a good part of. We created somebody that I think is, you know, he's a mystery man, he's 'Mr. Nobody' we never know his name and you never know quite what world he's in and I think that's what's fun and exciting about it. It works, because I understand what it is and we came up with it. It's like, 'Oh, wow! That's cool!"

Russell's role has since been confirmed for "Fast 8." Also confirmed to be reappearing in the new installment are Toretto, Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham).

"Fast 8" drives to theaters on April 14, 2017.
