Code spotted by developers in beta versions of Apple's operating system software have been revealing significant details about the possible features in future Apple devices, as well as about the devices themselves that could be launched by the company in the near-future. Recently, a hidden code in the iOS 9 software development kit had revealed that Apple's upcoming operating system would offer a keyboard for larger screens to support a larger and more powerful iPad. This was followed by iOS 9 developers discovering another code to reveal that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro would arrive with a screen resolution of 2732x2048 pixels. In the latest revelation, developers have spotted a code in Apple's latest OS X El Capitan beta, indicating the upcoming launch of a new iMac and a Bluetooth remote control.

At the World Wide Developers Conference this week, Apple had announced the latest version of its operating system, the iOS 9 for iPhones and iPads. iOS 9 is currently available only for developers and Apple had released the OS X 10.11 El Capitan beta 2 earlier this week for developers. The beta version has now been found to include code, which indicates that the Cupertino-based tech firm is developing a new 21.5-inch iMac with a 4K (4096x2304 pixels) resolution display, as against the full-HD resolution display in the company's current 21.5-inch iMac models. The developers working on the latest El Capitan beta code also found references to Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 belonging to Intel's latest Broadwell family of processors.

Additionally, developers also found a file named AppleBluetoothRemote.kext in the OS X 10.11 El Capitan beta 2, indicating that that Apple is working on a new Bluetooth-based remote control. The file contains details of a Bluetooth wireless chip, IR connectivity, and a multi-touch trackpad with support for inertial scrolling, all of which suggests that Apple could finally provide the long-rumored Bluetooth remote controller for its next generation Apple TV.

Apple is likely to unveil the new Apple TV and refreshed Mac computers at the company's upcoming press event in September this year.
