'Bleach' Chapter 684 spoilers, plot: Final battle disappoints fans, hoping next chapter wraps up story well

It turns out that Yhwach, the Soul King's son, was still alive and kicking but eventually died in the latest chapter 684 of "Bleach" manga.
According to reports, Ichigo and Aizen's hope to put a stop to Yhwach has crumbled after learning that he is alive after all. Apparently, the Soul King's son has already predicted his own death so he managed to alter his future by becoming way powerful than he already is, in order to survive the attack.
However, after Ichigo and his team learned the terrible news, Uryuu suddenly appeared and attacked Yhwach with his spirit arrows, which temporarily stopped the enemy's flow of power. Then, Ichigo used that chance and gave his Zanpakuto Zangetsu's final blow to him. Fortunately, they managed to kill the Soul King's son. The bad news is, Ichigo's Zanpakuto also died together with the enemy.
It was previously announced that the Bleach manga will end with its 74th volume. Since the current chapter no longer has an extra panel where an explanation is usually written, some fans assume that this may be the very last chapter of the manga. Some of the fans are also hoping that there will be an upcoming chapter 685 that would explain what transpired in 684, which a lot of fans were disappointed about.
In the previous chapter, it can be remembered that Aizen was able to stir Yhwach toward their plan with the help of his illusion abilities. After believing that the enemy was able to kill Ichigo, Ichigo then risked his own life and hit him with his highest level of attack.
The recently released chapter 684, which could really be the finale, was met with incredibly mixed reactions from its fans. In the Reddit thread for the manga, a lot of fans questioned how Uryuu was able to fire his arrow and also Ichigo's ever-confusing sword transformation.
There is still no word if there will be a chapter 685 that would very well explain what has just transpired.
