Another show has been cancelled by the USA Network, and it's the Piper Perabo-starred CIA drama, 'Covert Affairs.'

'Covert Affairs' has been cancelled after five seasons, surprising fans who have been following the show since its premiere. The show ended with the season 5 finale that shows Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) being offered marriage by Ryan. Auggie was last seen deciding on finally leaving his life within the CIA so he can see the rest of the world.

The end of season 5 made it seem that the show will be back to answer the questions left in the last episode. Unfortunately for fans, these questions might not be answered anymore since the show has been axed.

Sources suggest that the cancellation was due to the show's declining ratings. According to a report, 'Covert Affairs' only raked in 1.5 million viewers during season 5, a huge drop compared to the 5 million viewers that the show used to average during its earlier seasons. The show experienced a series low in November, only gaining 1.1 million viewers.

Breathecast has reported that USA Network is turning  its attentions to other shows to premiere for 2015. 'Graceland,' 'Playing House,' 'Suits,' 'Satisfaction,' 'Benched' and 'Royal Pains,' are all set to return for this year. USA network have also sent out the go signal to several new series such as 'Mr. Robot,' a hacker drama starring Christian Slater and Rami Malek. Other shows expected to make their debut in USA Network are 'Dig,' and another called 'Complications.'

USA Network also has their eye on other pilots, though yet to be confirmed. 'Stanistan,' which will star Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) is being looked at, as well as 'Colony,' which will feature Josh Holloway from the successful series, 'Lost.' 'Queen of the South' and 'Evil Men' are also new potential USA Network shows.
