The most anticipated sequel in the history of Disney may not be arriving as expected. Recent rumors revolving around "Frozen 2" suggest that the film may be delayed due to budget constraints.

As fans know, "Frozen" and other animated films required a lot of money to become a reality. Rumor has it that the sequel to the biggest animated movie of all-time has not yet obtained the desired finances for the development team to use. This could mean that the movie may not reach its 2018 launch schedule.

This is sad news for many fans who have been expecting to hear more updates from Disney or at least anyone else from the team. Unfortunately, probably the reason why there has been no official word from Disney regarding the development of "Frozen 2" is because there is really nothing going on behind the scenes. A film cannot move without sufficient funds and it seems this is the issue that the giant film group has yet to resolve.

Meanwhile, Kristen Bell, who voiced Anna in the hit film, recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! According to LIST, the actress gave some updates on the highly anticipated sequel.

Unfortunately, there's nothing much to say and Bell might be trying to be positive despite the lack of progress. "We haven't started recording, we're just waiting to get our hands on the script. They take a lot of time over there just to perfect it, and it has to go through a lot of development to make sure that it's exactly the story that needs to be told. I hope we start recording soon," Bell explained.

As for the upcoming film's plot, many are still insisting that it will be focused on Queen Elsa's romantic arc since Anna has already found her happiness. It would be interesting to see how Elsa handles love, knowing how she's someone who might not be interested in romance. This has yet to be confirmed by Disney though.

"Frozen 2" is expected to release sometime 2018.
