Nick (David Giuntoli) and Monroe's (Silas Weir Mitchell) trip to Germany will yield more than they have expected. In the upcoming episode of the NBC series "Grimm," the pair will be successful in locating a huge treasure, but there are others who will stop at nothing to silence them about the find.

In "Into the Schwarzwald," TV Guide reports that Nick and Monroe will hit pay dirt in their search for the Seven Keys in the Black Forest. Last episode, they managed to find an old foundation buried deep into the woods. Before they could dig any further, the entire thing collapsed under their weight. The timing could not have come at a better time, as a group of Wesens just arrived to stop them.

It appears that the treasure that the Grimm knights hid during the Crusade is indeed buried somewhere in the area that Nick and Monroe were investigating. The synopsis reveals that they will find it, but there is still the question on how to get out of there alive. The Wesens, headed by the priest, are still out there, waiting for them to surface. It is clear they know about the loot all along, but have no plans to get it for themselves.

The Wesens will make sure that the treasure stays hidden for centuries to come. To do that, they must take out the thieves. Nick and Monroe will have to be very careful, or they will find themselves surrounded by angry and bloodthirsty creatures. What kind of treasure is it that Wesens have dedicated their lives to protect it? Is it something that will make the Grimms more powerful than ever?

Back in Portland, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz), Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) are still hunting down the assassin who shot mayoral candidate Andrew Dixon (Michael Sheets). They will find themselves competing with none other than Eve (Bitsie Tulloch), who wants to capture the man for Hadrian's Wall.

"Grimm" season 5 episode 12 airs Friday, March 11, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
