The LG G4 and the iPhone 6 are both great looking devices, but it is clear the phones' manufacturers have different ideas and concepts in mind, as one phone has a metal body while the other is clad in leather. Here is how the phablet from LG compares to the smartphone from Apple.

Design

There is no mistaking that the iPhone is a premium smartphone with its full metal body and beautifully curved edges. It comes in three colors gold, grey and silver and boasts of its fingerprint scanner. The LG G4, on the other hand, has a plastic body with a slight curve running from top to bottom which allows for it to be easily held. Its back panel is made of polycarbonate in three colors, gold, grey and white with a ceramic paint. For users who want variety, there are replaceable leather back panels available that come in a variety of natural colors.

Display

In terms of the size and quality of their displays, the LG G4 comes out ahead as it has a bigger IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 538 pixels per inch. The iPhone 6 uses a noticeably smaller IPS LCD screen measuring 4.7 inches with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and a density of 326 pixels per inch.

Specs

The LG G4 has better hardware and is faster than its competitor as it was just recently released. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, a hexa-core processor composed of two Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.82 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz, and an Adreno 418 GPU. On the iPhone 6 is an Apple A8 chipset, a Cyclone CPU with two cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU.

Memory

The iPhone 6, much like other devices from Apple does not have a memory slot while the version on the LG G4 allows for up to 128 GB of additonal external storage. As for the RAM, the iPhone 6 has 1 GB while the LG G4 has 3G.

Camera

Though both cameras have optical image stabilization, the 8 megapixel camera of the iPhone is inferior to the 16 megapixel camera of the LG G4.

Price

The LG G4 with a two year contract is priced at $199 while the 16 GB iPhone 6 also costs $199 with a similar contract.
