Michael Schumacher news: Ross Brawn explains comment on Schumacher's recovery

(Michael Schumacher website)Michael Schumacher is a legend in the car racing field as he holds the most number of records in the said field.

Former Formula One team principal Ross Brawn has been quoted as saying racing legend Michael Schumacher is improving and, in a recent interview, he explains what he meant by the statement.

In a recent interview with the Guardian, Ross talked about his life in Formula One and he was asked if he visits Schumacher. He said, "We do. We go see him and hope and pray that one day he will make a recovery." He continued, "I was quoted as saying he's improving and it was not what I really meant. The family are conducting his convalescence in private and I need to respect that. So I don't want to comment on his condition beyond saying we're extremely hopeful we'll see Michael as we knew him at some point in the future."

Schumacher's present condition is one of the most-speculated stories in the sports world since his family has decided to be quiet about his recovery. The legend figured in an accident while on a ski vacation with his family on Dec. 29, 2013. Schumacher has been in coma and had stayed in the hospital for some time until the family decided to continue his recovery in their home. He has suffered from traumatic brain surgery, which is called epidural hemotoma.

Since then, little is being said about his condition. He holds the most record for his driving speed and, though a lot of champions have come after him, Brawn said he was "the best of all not just for his driving ability — but his ability to be a crucial part of creating our teams at Benetton and Ferrari. He was a dream to work with — but Michael is the only driver of that calibre I've worked with and he is a friend. So I'm biased."

The world continues to pray for Michael Schumacher and his family for his recovery.
