While the OnePlus 4 is said not to arrive earlier than first quarter of 2017, rumors claiming that the upcoming device will give the iPhone 7 a run for its money are becoming more persistent.

According to reports, the OnePlus 4 is one of the highly anticipated devices in the market. While the yet-to-be-released device is said to come with impressive specs and features, it is said to carry a price tag that is way too reasonable than the iPhone 7.

Rumors claim that the anticipated device will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset that will be supported by 8 GB RAM. In the event that the said RAM of the OnePlus 4 is true, it has already beaten the iPhone 7 in this regard as the latter only comes with 2 GB of RAM. In addition to its alleged RAM, OnePlus 4 is also rumored to support the latest Android OS, the Android 7.0 Nougat.

As far as the features are concerned, it is said that the upcoming OnePLus 4 will boast of 23 and 8-megapixel main and selfie cameras, respectively. It is said that, by far, the most impressive smartphone camera is that of Google's newly released Pixel, which comes with a 12.3-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera. In the event that OnePlus 4's camera specs are correct, then, it may, indeed, be a force to reckon with in the market and will be a hit for consumers who take a smartphone's camera as a major consideration when buying one.

Meanwhile, according to Tech Radar, OnePlus, indeed, has an upcoming device in the pipeline, and it's meant to replace the current OnePlus 3. However, reportedly, it will not be called the OnePlus 4 but OnePlus 3 S or OnePlus 3 Plus. Allegedly, the device will revert back to the LCD screen and will dump the AMOLED screen display.

However, in a tweet by OnePlus CEO Carl Pei, he clarified that the brand will stick to the Optic AMOLED displays for its future products.
