'Person 5' news: Gamers offer their opinions on delay to release

Atlus released the 'Persona' spin-off game, "Persona 4 : Dancing All Night" in Japan in June of this year. Fans all over the globe are certain that the release of the PSVita game is a tiny teaser of the impending debut of the highly anticipated "Persona 5." Unfortunately, gamers were only met with disappointment as during the recently concluded Tokyo Game Show, the game development company confirmed that the title won't be arriving in Japan until the middle of next year. Katsura Hashino, the game's chief director has since explained the reason for the availability set-back.

In a special video posted via Daily Motion as reported by Ecumenical News, Hashino extended his deepest apologies to players who have been waiting patiently for "Persona 5." However he was quick to reassure potential customers, that the team behind the game is doing everything they can to produce the best possible iteration of "Persona."

"The strengths of the Persona series are compelling characters, a moving, relatable story, and a borderline obsession with minutiae - elements which can't be rushed or taken lightly. So while ATLUS realizes the frustration and disappointment that this must cause for the JRPG-loving public, please know that we are delaying the game in order to make sure the next iteration of the Persona series lives up to the expectations of fans."

Still gamers have voiced out their anticipation for "Persona 5" all over the internet significantly on Atlus USA official social media accounts. Some gamers are unsurprisingly disgruntled by the delay however others have remained understanding surrounding Atlus' decision.

"They delayed it. Rather have a billion patches? be my guest." quipped Giordi Diodato on Atlus' Facebook account.

The fifth installment of the Persona franchise is scheduled to debut in Japan around the second or third quarter of 2016. Meanwhile the North America release remains unconfirmed.
