One of the biggest titles in Japanese base games for single RPG is the "Persona" series. The game's developer, Altus, is already on its sixth installment of the famous Japanese RPG. Gamers around the world have been waiting a long time for the release of "Persona 5," which is currently in the development stage. Naoto Hiraoka, CEO of Altus, was interviewed in the latest issue of Dengeki Playstation gaming magazine and according to him, this year will be a big year for the company.

He said, "In 2015, we were able to develop existing IP like 'Persona 4: Dancing All Night' and 'Etrian Mystery Dungeon.' In 2016, starting with 'Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir,' we plan to release a large number of titles. In the summer, we'll launch the long-awaited 'Persona 5.'"

This means that "Persona" game enthusiasts will be able to experience the new JRPG installment sometime in the second quarter of the year. There are reports, though, that the release date could experience a possible delay. If it does, the only thing fans can do is to hope that the release date will not be later than the third quarter of the year.

"Persona 5" will be different from the previous "Persona" installments. The game director, Katsura Hashino, had an interview that was published in one edition of Game Informer Magazine, according to Persona Central. He shared some details about the game, like the story summary and some character information.

As posted by the news website, the "Persona 5" characters are restrained by modern-day society issues. They will be changing how the society goes by becoming phantom thieves.

Talking about the gameplay details, the characters will discover demonic creatures from an unknown origin and they will be fighting these creatures using ranged and melee type weapons.

Fans are expecting something big from this upcoming famous Japanese game, which will probably be included in list of the best video games for 2016. "Persona 5" is designed for PS4 and PS3 gaming consoles only.
