Plex app on Xbox One and Xbox 360 release date finally confirmed, details

Microsoft has fortified the Xbox One and Xbox 360 media environments with the Plex app, an app that enables better quality media streaming and provides elegant user interface.
"If you've been around for a while, you know how much we love bringing the awesome Plex experience to a brand new platform. Whether that means working hard to run on existing devices like the Roku, or working more closely with a partner like Google to bring you a world class Android TV app, we're always looking for new and cool ways to make sure you can access your media "wherever you are on your favorite device. Well today, we're super excited to announce that Plex is coming to not one, but two new platforms: the Xbox One and Xbox 360!" Plex's official press release said.
The Plex Xbox One release date took place on Oct. 7, and Plex Pass members can already get it for free. Plex Xbox 360 edition is promised to arrive shortly.
"This is huge, not only because it's the first time Plex will run natively on a gaming console, and not just because there are over 80 million Xboxes out in the wild (it turns out there are a lot of Xbox fans out there!)," Plex noted.
Along with the announcement of integrating with Xbox consoles, Plex also confirmed refurbishing TV experience using the app.
A major redesign included the complete overhaul of the home screen, where a user can now have one single great view of all the media stored in his server or shared server.
The Plex app on Xbox One and Xbox 360 will also feature voice and gesture control via Kinect.
