After 3 years since the release of the fifth installment of the Zombie film series "Resident Evil," producer and director Paul W.S. Anderson is now in production for "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter." It has been reported that they are done filming but they are still working on some editing. The sixth installment was confirmed by Sony Pictures distribution head Rory Bruer just a few months after the release of the "Resident Evil: Retribution." The movie is set to release in theaters in January 2017.

Milla Jovovich and Shawn Roberts are attached to the film to reprise their roles as Alice and Albert Wesker, respectively. Ali Larter, who played Claire Redfield, a special police officer from "Resident Evil: Afterlife," will be coming back in "The Final Chapter."

The lead actress, Jovovich, had a Q&A session on Twitter where a fan asked what would make "The Final Chapter" special. Jovovich answered, "Its much more gritty and raw than the last one. The action is in your face and very realistic. No slow motion." The lead actress has been part of the "Resident Evil" franchise for the last 15 years. She mentioned in her account that she was sad about the zombie film series nearing its end.

Moviegoers are to expect something more from Alice, as teased by Jovovich in the Q&A session. She said, "I think Alice has really come into her own in this movie. we see sides to her that we've never seen in the other films!"

In other news, Jovovich is set for another film project after "Resident Evil." It is an adaptation of one of the short stories written by George R.R. Martin. Martin is the famous author of the book, "A Song of Ice and Fire," which is the source material of the famous HBO TV series "Game of Thrones."
