It is going to be a spooky episode for Maura (Sasha Alexander) and Jane (Angie Harmon) in "Rizzoli & Isles."

In "There Be Ghosts," CarterMatt reports that the dynamic duo will work a double murder case that took place in one of the city hospitals. Upon investigation, evidences that it was the work of ghosts surface and force Jane and Maura to look into the inconceivable aspect. They have to revisit a story that allegedly happened years ago and see if the current murders are in any way connected. Along the way, the BFFs will also find out if the gossip is true or not and clear up the mystery once and for all.

For people who deal with concrete facts and evidences, believing in the supernatural comes a tad difficult for both Jane and Maura. Their work entails them to look for proof in order to solve a case. Having a ghost as the culprit is something they have never considered. Behind the scary story, a dangerous criminal is determined to avoid capture. Unfortunately for him, Jane and Maura are the best in their respective fields. They will do everything to find him and make him pay for his crime.

Last episode, Maura decided to undergo a minor surgery to help correct her cognitive issues. Because of the head wound she sustained during a shooting, she has been suffering from the big change that took place regarding her mental skills. She noticed that it was not as impressive as it usually was. Maura has been known for her eidetic memory, but since the incident, she has had difficulty remembering simple things. Kent (Adam Sinclair) persuaded her to have the operation.

After the surgery, Maura was surprised to find her biological mother Hope (guest star Sharon Lawrence) waiting for her. The older woman heard of Maura's condition and was worried. They had a heart to heart talk where Hope admitted to her daughter that she has always regretted giving her up for adoption.
