Although there are no announcements from the company regarding the upcoming device, various rumors about the series are circulating. One of the most recent rumors suggests that the device will be featuring a dual-screen. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will reportedly have a screen on the front and rear part of the device. In addition, the smartphone is believed to be a foldable device with an OLED display.

According to reports, the tech giant will be launching a few dual-screen smartphones to examine the market's response to the latest design. If and when the market will favor the change in design, the company is expected to introduce the foldable smartphones. Japan Display Inc. will supply displays for the dual-screen phones, reports say.

It is to be noted that the South Korean tech company has done these experiments before. In 2013, it introduced a new display that it called the Galaxy Round curved smartphone. And of course, it introduced the Galaxy Note Edge display in 2014.

Samsung has reportedly been working on the foldable design for quite some time now. It was in 2013 when the company first teased an in-foldable smartphone. However, the new line of smartphones that will carry the foldable design will be out-foldable. Reports say that even the sides of the folded device will feature a display, similar to that of the Samsung Edge smartphones.

"In-foldable smartphone is seen as a first type of a foldable smartphone. Out-foldable smartphone is the next step of in-foldable smartphone," said an expert in the industry.

Samsung will reportedly introduce two dual-screen/foldable flagships next year, the Galaxy S8 and the Note 8.
