'Sense8' season 2 premiere date moved to spring

(Facebook / Sense8)The cast and crew of "Sense8" mix business with pleasure as they shoot scenes in different parts of the world.

The second season of "Sense8" was originally scheduled to premiere in June; however, there have been several bumps encountered during production, which is speculated to cause the delay in the show's premiere. Reports say that the show will air in spring.

"Sense8" is a series that involves eight characters who get into each other's minds without previously connecting with each other. These characters come from different parts of the world and only see each other through visions. They lived through the first season trying to discover their newfound abilities and what they mean to each other while trying to be safe from an antagonist named Mr. Whispers (Terrence Mann). Mr. Whispers is also a sensate like them but is determined to kill every one of his kind.

It was only during the last scene of season when all eight of the sensates got together. In season 2, they are expected to be with each other more, but it does not mean filming for the series would be easier since production is said to take place in nine cities from different parts of the world.

All lead actors and actresses will be back in season 2 to reprise their roles except Aml Ameen who will be replaced by Toby Onwumere as Capheus. The change happened in the series' early stages due to rumored artistic differences between the actor and its creators, Lilly and Lana Wachowski. Ameen has already filmed some of his scenes and it is not known yet whether the scenes were reshot or the change is incorporated in the story.

Another bump season 2 faced is when one of the Wachowski duo had to leave while filming was underway. Lilly recently came out as transgender and decided to take time off to focus on herself.

"Sense8" season 2 will feature Mr. Whispers as the bad guy as he continues to track the sensates down. The first season has successfully introduced the backstories of the characters and the next season is expected to dwell on forming relationships.
