Sci-fi fans rejoiced when Netflix renewed its "Sense8" web drama for another season. The announcement was made three months ago and viewers are looking forward to getting a release date marked on their calendars.

"Sense 8" season two's exact release date remains elusive but many have already speculated it will drop some time in June, somewhere between the first and second week. This is heavily based on Netflix's tradition of releasing its series at almost the same time year on year. Its groundbreaking "House of Cards," for example, has always released its new seasons in February (with only season one releasing early in the month but the following two sitting right smack in the middle of the second and third weeks). Since the first season of "Sense8" released on June 5 of this year, season two is expected around the same time for 2016.

The fact that a second season is coming at all is already a relief for many of the show's fans. The freshman season ended with a cliffhanger, which did not really do much to assure them of a new season as Netflix has not immediately announced season two. But when they did last August, fans were excited, insisting that a continuation of the sensates' story is a must. Now the question remains, how is Riley and Will going to fare after that cliffhanger?

While that remains to be seen, perhaps until the new season debut, there have been some hints as to what season two brings to the table. Rajan Rasal (Purab Kohli) will definitely be someone to watch out for in the sophomore season. With his fiancé Kala Dandekar's (Tina Desai) having a romance of sorts with fellow sensate Wolfgang Bogdanow (Max Riemelt), he is most likely going to be pushed to exploring the darker side of himself.

In a previous interview, actor Kohli already mentioned that his character is too good to be true and that a darkness is in there somewhere, given how his father has also shown an inkling towards evil. It looks like that inkling will be shown on him on season two as Venture Capital Post writes that he will be the main villain of the new season.

Also dropping hints is actor Brian J. Smith, who portrays sensate Will Gorski in the series. Though there are still no clear indications that production is already underway, Smith teased on Twitter that he has already bought new luggage for season two filming. Another interesting tidbit on that same tweet was this: "Perhaps some additional climates to pack for?" It suggests a new location to be unraveled in season two.

Stay tuned for more news on "Sense8" season two.
