Since the game's launch last November 2015, "Star Wars Battlefront" players have been repeatedly asking for new game content. Now, EA DICE has released details regarding DLC coming within the next few months, both as free content and as part of the Season Pass.

According to the blog post published by game producer Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, EA DICE has been listening to players' feedback and will be making changes to the game all throughout the year. To celebrate its successful launch and millions of players, EA DICE also announced that it would be releasing free content, starting today.

For January, EA DICE will be releasing new maps for both multiplayer and mission modes. The Tatooine Survival map will now support Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt and Heroes vs Villains multiplayer modes called Raider Camp.

Players will also be able to access Hoth-themed outfits for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo when playing on Hoth.

EA Sports will also introduce Private Matches so that players can find and play with friends easily. "Star Wars Battlefront" will also have Daily Challenges and Community Events that allow players to complete goals and objectives in exchange for game credits.

Alongside new content, EA DICE will also introduce updates to its weapons and multiplayer modes.

Coming in February, players will receive a new Survival Mission on Hoth and a new Hoth multiplayer map with support for Walker Assault, Supremacy, Fighter Squadron and Turning Point.

Finally, this March, EA DICE will give players a new multiplayer map on Endor that will support Walker Assault, Supremacy and Turning Point. There will also be a new Tatooine Survival map.

The "Star Wars Battlefront" Season Pass, available to purchase for $50, will give players access to four expansion packs.

In the "Star Wars Battlefront" Outer Rim Expansion Pack arriving this March, players will be able to battle in the factories of Sullust and inside Jabba the Hut's palace in Tatooine.

The second expansion pack will be arriving by summer 2016 and will be set in the Cloud City of Bespin. The iconic Death Star is also making its debut with the release of the third "Star Wars Battlefront" Expansion Pack arriving this Fall 2016. EA Sports also revealed that Expansion Pack 4, which is not yet titled, will be released in early 2017.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is now available for purchase for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Microsoft Windows PC.
