ZeniMax Online, the developer behind "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited," has revealed during the panel at Quakecon 2015 that the first DLC, "The Imperial City," will focus on a different angle, mainly, the close-quarters combat. It will also introduce a new currency to the game.

During the presentation, Creative Director, Rich Lambert, has explained that in "The Imperial City" DLC, the battle is going to take place in smaller areas, as opposed to the open-world settings of the game. "First and foremost, we wanted to make sure that we expanded on the PvP offering in Elder Scrolls Online. For Imperial City, we wanted to make sure the focus was on close-quarters combat with a smaller scale," Lambert said during the event via PC Gamer.

Additionally, the developer also revealed that in the first DLC of "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited," fans will be introduced to a new in-game currency called Tel Var stones.

According to PC Gamer, players must defeat and kill other players in order for them to acquire Tel Var stones. However, it was greatly pointed out that with this newly added currency, players will have to resort in betrayal and backstabbing, thus making the PvP aspect of the game more interesting.

The source also explained that there will be special equipment and items that can be bought exclusively by using the new currency — which gives another reason for players to fight each other.

"The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited - The Imperial City" DLC will be available for download starting Aug. 31 next month. Luckily, as reported by IGN, the added content is set to be available in the ESO public test server next week.

"The Imperial City" DLC, as mentioned on the game's official post, will be available for active ESO Plus members. But if gamers want to buy it separately, it will cost them around 2,500 crowns or $20, said GameSpot.
