'The Walking Dead' season 6 spoilers: Norman Reedus talks about little Easter eggs, Daryl's kidnappers

"The Walking Dead" season 6 episode 6 was heavy on Daryl Dixon. With his bow and arrow and motorbike taken away from him, how will the character survive the next few episodes? And how will his character change now that new villains are just on the horizon?

Norman Reedus, who portrays Daryl Dixon in "The Walking Dead" and who played a huge role in last Sunday's episode, spoke with IGN about how else season 6 is going to play out. One of the things that was asked was, naturally, about his kidnappers who later on took his crossbow and bike.

Talking about how Daryl will react if he sees those two again, Reedus explained, "Yeah [the gut reaction will be to kill them], at least until he cools off for a long time. [laughs] I remember them driving off with my bike and my crossbow, and a lot of what was going through my mind is, 'Man, I let everybody down. I let Rick down.' Everything has a backstory in your mind, and that was definitely part of my backstory in that scene where they steal my stuff."

He also dropped some little hints about how the new season is setting up viewers for potential future plots. He talked about the walker that Daryl had to shoot while trying to retrieve his crossbow. He pointed to the Cherokee Rose sticking to the walker's back and simply added, "[It's] a little Easter egg."

He expounded that every single thing fans see in the show right now can come back and have a story to tell. He added that executive producer Scott M. Gimple is a "mad genius" who plots backstories that the cast and viewers are unable to see.

The change in Daryl's role was also discussed. He was formerly a recruiter, adding to Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) merry men of zombie fighters. Now that the gang is in Alexandria, Daryl's position has changed. It was apparent even in the way his character said the line, "You're gonna be," in the latest episode. The actor said more of this will be uncovered in the next episodes.
