The all-new 2016 Jeep Renegade was recently awarded the 2016 Best Buy Award among Subcompact SUVs by the automotive editors at Consumers Guide. The 2016 Jeep Renegade is a compact SUV tailored for off-road performance.

The 2016 Jeep Renegade also makes its Middle Eastern debut at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show. The model on display is the Trailhawk model and comes in a sophisticated Omaha Orange exterior paint and black interiors.

According to a press release, the Jeep Renegade is an "efficienct vehicle created to attract youthful and adventurous customers around the world."

The 2016 Jeep Renegade comes in four trim levels – Sport ($17,995), Latitude ($21,295), Limited ($24,795) and Trailhawk ($25,995).

The Renegade Sport and Latitude trims are powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated with a six-speed manual transmission that produces 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

The Renegade Limited and Trailhawk trims are powered by a 2.4-liter non-turbo four-cylinder engine with a nine-speed automatic gearbox that produces 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.

The all-new Jeep Renegade is the only subcompact SUV in the market with a nine-speed gearbox. The Trailhawk trim is available as an all-wheel drive only while the other three trims are front-wheel drive but can be upgraded to an all-wheel drive for $2,000.

As an all-wheel drive, the Jeep Renegade comes with four modes of 4x4 operation – Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud. The Trailhawk trim level also has an additional Rock mode.

The four-seat Renegade also comes with a new exterior design. The Renegade has an upright and square stance. It bears the Jeep signature seven-bar grille, which is beside large and round headlights. The large wheel arches are also rubber-lipped. Inside the cabin, the interiors have a sporty and tough look.

The compact SUV also comes with safety features including an airbag system, electronic stability control with traction control, antilock brakes and brake assist and hill-start assist. Optional safety features include a rearview camera, rear park sensors, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning and blind-spot warning.
