'American Horror Story' season 6 news: Casting rumors for season 6 get fans riled up for the show's return

It's off-season for avid fans of the popular series "American Horror Story" ("AHS") but that doesn't mean that they have stopped speculating on what's about to go down in the show's season 6 return. News regarding the upcoming season's plot remains surprisingly scars, although news and casting rumors have been circulating the Internet ever since the show wrapped up its season 5 finale back in January.
Actor Matt Bomer just recently confirmed that he'll be a part of "AHS" season 6, although he does not have a clue at the moment as to what episode he'll appear in or which character he'll portray.
In an interview with Magic Radio, Bomer said that he's excited to go back to the series but failed to elaborate on what the show's upcoming concept is about. He just revealed that it is going to be "something substantially different."
Actor Evan Peters, who was included in the previous five seasons of the series, also told BBC last month that he'll return to the show's sixth season, only he doesn't know which character he'll be playing next.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actress Angela Bassett likewise confirmed her definite return in the upcoming season. The actress recounted what transpired during her conversation with Ryan Murphy, the show's producer.
"He [Murphy] did tell me at the Golden Globes that I would imbibe a little bit too much and yet I was very intuitive also and maybe Sarah [Paulson] was somehow the boss of me."
She even commented on the possibility of Lady Gaga, who took on the role of Elizabeth/The Countess on the previous season, doing a comeback for season 6. "I hear, I think, perhaps that she's out to return. She had a good time with us," Bassett said.
Finn Wittrock, another "AHS" alumnus, mentioned to The Wrap that he's already talked with the show's creators to discuss his possible return to season 6. Even though there is no official confirmation yet if he's to come back, the actor still dropped some hints as to what might happen in the next series' installment.
"I have heard it is going to be a little tighter — there were so many story lines in the last one and it was so big and epic, I have a feeling it might be a little more claustrophobic. A smaller cast," said Wittrock.
"American Horror Story" season 6 is scheduled to return to the small screens in fall.
