'American Horror Story: Hotel' episode 8 spoilers: Det. Lowe chasing down Ten Commandments Killer; Hypodermic Sally and Mr. Marsh locked in battle for him
"American Horror Story: Hotel" is one of those shows that doesn't use filler episodes, as something new is revealed to fans every week. In the previous one, fans got a glimpse of the couple who made the Countess immortal and now, viewers might finally learn who the Ten Commandments Killer is.
Episode 8, aptly titled "The Ten Commandments Killer," is obviously focused on the notorious criminal. The synopsis laid out on Carter Matt simply states that Det. John Lowe (Wes Bentley) is closing in on the killer and "Sally's arrangement with March is revealed."
These two key details are clearly seen in the trailer for episode 8, which starts with a shot of Lowe accosting Liz Taylor (Denis O'Hare) and telling him that the Ten Commandments Killer is at the hotel. Lowe's dedication to finding the serial killer prompts Mr. Marsh (Evan Peters), the hotel's designer, to describe the detective as "a man willing to do bad to do good," and it is a pretty spot-on analysis of the man's mental state.
What's surprising is that Sally (Sarah Paulson) is seen talking to Marsh, reminding him that they have unfinished business. The Countess (Lady Gaga) also makes an appearance. She appears to be wearing a bell boy's uniform when she tells him that she's happy to see him suffering.
The detective appears to be at the end of his sanity and wants out as he's seen standing on the toilet, getting ready to hang himself. This is followed by Marsh yelling at Sally that Lowe is not hers. The two seem to think that they own the long-suffering detective.
The long-dead resident is also seen leading Lowe to a room. There's a scene of a man entering a room and a body can be seen tied to the bed. Someone then comes out of the shadows and drugs the man. It's not clear if this is Lowe or someone else.
The clip ends with Lowe asking Sally if the Ten Commandments Killer is in the room. She clarifies that what the room holds are answers. The detective enters, gun drawn and the scene ends.
Will Lowe finally come face to face with the killer he has hunted for so long? Fans no doubt hope that they will finally know more about this mysterious presence.
Episode 8 of "American Horror Story: Hotel" is set to be aired on Dec. 2 on FX.
