Season 5 of the hit show "Arrow" is fast approaching. They have recently released a new trailer that shows a big change in the show compared to its previous seasons.

Green Arrow, aka Oliver (Stephen Amell) will consider killing villains again. It is shown that he will be a killing machine in the show's fifth season, although executive producer Wendy Mericle commented that there is a chance he will have second thoughts about it.

Some people may say Oliver is taking a big step back, but others believe it is what needs to be done. Oliver promised he would stop killing, but the death of Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) has made him think twice.

In the new trailer, Thea (Willa Holland) said: "Putting killing on the table is a huge step backwards. That's not what she would have wanted."

On the other hand, according to TV Guide, Mericle commented: "People can die out there. And as he says in the premiere, if he's not willing to go to that place, he shouldn't be out there at all. So I think it really sets up the framework for this season."

If he does choose to go back to his lethal ways, there will be many changes, physically and mentally. He has to worry about how people will remember him because he has always tried to be better than the people he fights, but killing them will make him the same.

Mericle was asked how the decision will affect Oliver's mindset as a hero, and in the same TV Guide interview, she replied: "He's also looking forward to think about, 'What is my legacy going to be? Is it going to be the legacy of a hero, or the legacy of a murderer?'"

As fans should know by now, Oliver is planning on rebuilding his team of vigilantes so that they can all fight for the greater good. There will be many faces on the show that will be new to fans and most of them will be additions to Oliver's team who will be fighting the big bad of season 5, Prometheus. Fans will just have to wait and see what's in store for season 5.

"Arrow" season 5 is returning to small screens on Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
