'Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death' release date, news: Game's Japan launch confirmed for March 30

(Shingeki TV)"Attack on Titan" season 2 has no release date yet. "Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death" will be released on March 30 in Japan.

Koei Tecmo has announced that "Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death" will be released in Japan on March 30, 2017 on the Nintendo 3DS.

Fans have been waiting a long time for the release of this game. The "Attack on Titan" franchise has certainly earned a cult following since its debut, and fans can barely wait to play as a Survey Corps member exploring what lies beyond the wall.

The story will follow the Survey Corps, with the player included, as they investigate an old castle. Suddenly, Titans come out of nowhere and attack. The player will then fall into an underground area after the ground collapses in the middle of the battle. With no way out and Titans everywhere, the player must figure out a way to escape.

According to reports, there are two editions that will be released. The first one is the standard one that can be purchased for 5,800 yen. This standard version can be bought as either a physical copy or a downloadable copy. The second one is the Treasure Box edition and will be available for 12,800 yen.

Apart from the game itself, the Treasure Box edition will also include a visual book, a soundtrack, and other paraphernalia like two waterproof posters, six large tin badges, and a Miksasa and Levi 3DS theme with voices download code. Only first-print copies of the Treasure Box edition will have the Erwin 3DS theme with voices download code. As for the Eren 3DS theme with voices download code, first-print copies of both editions will have this included. 

In other news, "Attack on Titan" season 2 has yet to be given an official release date. However, there are already a lot of rumors going around about what the second installment will have in store for viewers.

As for a US release date for the game, nothing has been confirmed so far.
