'Captain America: Civil War' spoilers: Russo brothers drop major plot details, confirmed that Red Hulk won't be appearing

With Captain America and Iron Man on different sides of the government coin, and each having his own group of supporters, it feels like "Captain America: Civil War" has a surplus of superheroes. While it's been reported that Thor and the Hulk won't be making an appearance in the film, there were rumours that another Hulk would make his debut.
The news that William Hurt will be back to once again portray General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross has had Marvel fans thinking that maybe the Red Hulk would finally be introduced. Unfortunately for fans of the character, the Russo brothers had confirmed that no Hulk – whether red or green – will be seen in "Civil War."
According to Heroic Hollywood, the revelation was made by directors Anthony and Joe Russo in an interview conducted during their recent international press tour. When asked about the possibility that the overzealous general would be transforming into the Red Hulk, Joe definitively stated that "there is no Red Hulk in 'Civil War.'" But that doesn't mean that General Ross won't be a threat.
Joe Russo shared that the general has a big presence in the movie. He's also a more formidable foe now because of his political clout and savvy. While he was aggressive in "The Incredible Hulk," now he's become more of a politician, using strategy to corner the Avengers and turn the world against them.
Another character who has a big presence in the upcoming Captain America movie is the Winter Soldier. According to Comic Book Movie, "Civil War" is less about politics and more about the relationship between Steve and Bucky. The two men have both suffered a great loss and the movie will show whether they can recover what they have lost.
The brothers also described the movie as a very emotional journey for Captain America, which started in "Captain America: The First Avenger" to "Winter Soldier" and finally, to "Civil War."
"Captain America: Civil War" will hit theatres on May 6, 2016.
