The Chicago Bulls are on fire early this 2016-17 National Basketball Association (NBA) season, and soon they can enhance their roster by acquiring a rumored longtime target in the Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins was linked to numerous teams in the off-season and among them were the Bulls who made drastic changes ahead of the new campaign. However, as time went by, no deal was accomplished to land the All-Star center.

Now, a suggestion features the Bulls sacrificing a veteran, young talents, plus a future selection to add Cousins.

In the potential exchange, the Kings will receive Taj Gibson, Nikola Mirotić, Denzel Valentine, with a 2017 first-round pick.

This may be an easy "yes" on the side of the Bulls. Gibson, Mirotić and Valentine are important pieces for the squad representing the Windy City but they can be given up especially for the opportunity to have Cousins. The latter is arguably the best center in the league today and could transform Chicago back to a championship-caliber organization.

It is undetermined if the package deal would get the nod of the Kings for Cousins. Even if they have already expressed the intention of keeping the 26-year-old, some believe he is an easy trade target.

If the Bulls succeed, they are going to be a force in the Eastern Conference and the entire league. As of the moment, they are already one of the best revamped units and things will just get better with the potential addition of "Boogie."

The Bulls will have a Big Four of Cousins, Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo to lead them. This is a formidable lineup, a solid core they could build around on as they aim to return to the NBA Finals.

For now, there are no discussions regarding a switch between the Bulls and the Kings. But one may take place when the trade period in the regular season begins.
