'Chicago Fire' season 4 spoilers: Boden's neighbour says she was beaten; Boden fights charges against him

Life certainly is not boring in "Chicago Fire's" House 51. In this season alone, fans were treated to all the fireworks that would occur with Severide's demotion, Casey and Dawson losing their baby and the ominous accusations being levelled at Chief Boden. Luckily, the feisty chief isn't one to go down without a fight and is reportedly all set to do so in episode eight.

In the previous episode, the police question Boden (Eamonn Walker) regarding his neighbour's accusations against him. Severide (Taylor Kinney) comes across some information that can ruin Patterson (Brian J. White) and the rest of Firehouse 51 rally behind their chief.

The allegations against Boden continue in episode eight and it's not pretty. According to a synopsis posted on the "Carter Matt" site for episode eight, Chief Boden confronts Maddox (Mark Hengst) as being the one behind his being set up by Serena (Ilfenesh Hadera). The embattled chief believes it's a way to ruin his credibility before the trial. Meanwhile, Severide tries to help Boden by reaching out to Maddox's attorney, Jamie (Rachel Nichols).

It feels like Boden's in a really tough bind and the trailer for the upcoming episode, titled "When Tortoises Fly," reinforces that. The short clip starts with Serena telling someone that "he beat me up," most likely referring to Boden. However, there's some fight left in Boden as he's seen apparently walking towards someone and proclaiming that it will end now while a woman (maybe the secretary) hurries after him. Viewers are also given glimpses of the chief driving to work, the ceiling collapsing on some fire fighters and a car crashing and exploding. The clip ends with Boden warning someone that he's "messing with the wrong man."

The accompanying text to the clip, which reads that "her lies, his life, it all comes to this" certainly sounds ominous and viewers are no doubt wondering what will come next for the Boden.

One thing is for certain though, the Chief of Firehouse 51 is not going down without a fight and it's unlikely that his 51 family will let him face this on his own.

Episode eight of "Chicago Fire" season four will be aired on Dec. 1
