'Civilization 6' release news: Game gets an E-10 rating from ESRB

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has given "Civilization VI" an E-10 rating. This means the board deems the game suitable for "everyone aged 10 and up."
The board further describes the games content to contain drug reference, language, mild violence, and suggestive themes. "Civilization VI" is a strategy game wherein players get to create their own world from the Ancient Era through the Information Age. Players get to develop their people culture, technology, territory, and the likes. Interaction with nearby nations is also made possible from armed battles to civil negotiations. Words such as prostitute, adulterous, incestuous, rape, bastard, damn, and hell appear in the game as well as opium trade references.
While those words are used in historical context, parental guidance and discretion should still be done especially with the younger players.
Two of the additions in the coming installment are the last Great Viking, King Harald Hardrada, and the leader of the Kingdom of Kongo, Mvemba a Nzinga, who players can take control of. Game N Guide has pointed out some advantages in using the said characters.
As the head of the civilization of Norway, King Harald has distinctive skills that could be used in battle. He has the "Thunderbolt of the North" ability that enables the naval melee units to perform coastal raids. Norway's naval unit, the Longship, also has the ability to heal when treading on neutral waters.
Norway also has a Stave Church that can only be built in their unit. The church functions as a temple wherein faith adjacency bonus may be earned.
Mvemba a Nzinga is also called King Afonso I and he comes with bonuses in food, production, and gold. The aforementioned resources are considered some of the most important components in a civilization, something "Civilization" players are aware of.
Kongo also gets a special unit called the Ngao Mbeba, which contains defensive bonus against attacks by ranged units. It also has the ability of speed in navigating land areas such as woods and rainforests.
"Civilization VI" will be released on Oct. 21.
