In the 11th episode of USA Network's 'Covert Affairs' season 5 entitled 'Trigger Cut,' Ryan McQuaid's (played by actor Nic Bishop) life will be in extreme danger, with his health continuing to fluctuate.

The previous episode, entitled 'Sensitive Euro Man,' underlined the tragic shooting incident that jeopardized Ryan's well-being. The private security owner is now trying to recover.

Since Ryan is in a critical condition, he is unable to manage his company, leaving the responsibility of being the top executive to Arthur.

As for Annie (played by actress Piper Perabo), it will be a Turkish-themed assignment, as she is tasked to unearth some valuable information regarding her target, Aleksandre Belenko.

TVGuide confirms the episode's plot, where the lead character successfully captures Belenko, an assignment that was prompted by Auggie.

Auggie previously believed that one of his closest friends was poisoned. This murder will underline a possible conspiracy theory, as suggested by the show's producers.

When asked about Auggie's confused state, producer Chris Ord agreed and said that the succeeding episodes will highlight more revelations related to the character.

"You'll see going forward, in Episode 12, he's lost a number of members from his unit and that's going to affect [him] in all sorts of ways. As we go through this back six [episodes], you'll really see it all come to a head," Ord said in an interview with TVLine.
