In the upcoming episode 17, titled "The Sandman," of the 11th season of "Criminal Minds," fans will get to see more of the development of Derek Morgan's character.

The official synopsis from Cartermatt reads: "The BAU heads to Wichita in search of an UnSub abducting children while their parents sleep. Also, Morgan tries to find who was responsible for his attack."

After the powerful episode 16, titled "Derek," it looks like Morgan will still stick around in the upcoming episode and he is about to get married. As to when this character will be killed off, it may come sooner or later.

Hotch had a hunch that the people behind the attack towards Derek could be related to the hit-men that were taken down. Based on the evidence that they have gathered, it looks like the plan of the attack was done for months and it is possible the attackers could be a group who were rejected by SAS.

Meanwhile, Derek was tortured in a secret location. After struggling from dissociating, he eventually thought of his father who made it easier for him to survive the situation he was stuck in.

A lot about Derek's past was unveiled. It was revealed that he witnessed his father's murder at age 10. He was also abused by some trusted man in the community. By recalling these memories, he was able to defend himself against his captors.

Derek, even if he was struggling, was able to kill his captors. He was also able to contact his team. While waiting to be rescued, he remembered Savannah's pregnancy and the situation they are both in.

Eventually, the team was able to rescue Derek. Although he almost died, he regained consciousness with the help of his memories with his father.

Derek, who is about to be a father, decided to ask Savannah to marry him.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 17 will air this March 16 on CBS.
