Hotch gets arrested for suspected conspiracy, but Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) surmises that there might be a bigger plot behind it. This and more in the upcoming episode 22, titled "The Storm," of the 11th season of the police procedural crime drama "Criminal Minds."

The entire BAU receives a shocking news when Hotch is suddenly apprehended by a SWAT team. He is being suspected to be a part of a conspiracy. Because the team could not believe that their reliable unit chief would be a part of such scheme, they scramble to find evidence that he is innocent. They believe that a larger plot is looming in the horizon. Convicted serial killer Antonia Slade and Rossi's ex-wife Hayden will also return in the season finale of the crime drama.

The upcoming finale continues the story of the penultimate episode where Slade was re-introduced. Perhaps, Slade is the force behind Hotch ending up in some serious jeopardy. However, the team has to find a way to clear his name.

Showrunner Erica Messer described Antonia Slade (Frances Fisher) as "a crazy UnSub who was put away by [Mandy Patinkin's] Jason Gideon 15 years ago."

Messer told TV Line that Antonia and her husband created a runaway hotline years back for teenagers. However, they abduct those teens and severely give punishment to those who did not behave.

She further revealed that the story will be interesting, "creepy and psychological."

"She's amazing," Messer said about Fisher. "We've been wanting to work with Frances Fisher for years and it never worked out, and we're so glad it didn't, because she was made to be this UnSub for us."

Meanwhile, the previous episode, titled "Devil's Backbone," showed BAU's dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the notorious serial killer Slade. Her name resurfaces again after the jail guards at a Virginia prison got a package that has evidence of a kidnapping incident years back.
