Fans of the hit series "Criminal Minds" will have to wait another week to catch the latest episode of season 11.

It was reported that "Criminal Minds" did not have a new episode for this week. Fans were expecting episode 17, titled "The Sandman," to hit the small screens today. However, that is not the case. There are speculations that this could be due to the overwhelming news on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's departure from "The Sandman" film adaption. With that, there has yet to be any news to confirm its relevance.

Nevertheless, the upcoming episode will see BAU take on a case that is centered around someone who kidnaps children in the middle of the night. It was said that the kidnappings were done while the child's parents were already in bed sleeping.

Fans of the series noted the episode's title reference to the fictional creature of the European folklore. It was stated that the Sandman was the one in charge of granting children dreams or nightmares.

Aside from that case, Derek will try to get new information regarding what happened to him in the previous episode. The past episode saw him being abducted, then rescued by his unit. According to TV.com, the synopsis states, "The BAU searches in Wichita for an UnSub who is abducting children while their parents sleep. Meanwhile, Morgan tries to learn who was responsible for his attack."

However, fans should not expect to see a resolution for both cases in the upcoming episodes. There are suggestions that episodes 17 and 18 will be a two-part special. Titled, "A Beautiful Disaster," episode 18 of "Criminal Minds" season 11 could be the one to present a fix for Derek, as well as the kidnapping case.

With that, fans can expect a lot of action ahead as the BAU takes on the two complicated cases.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 will air episode 17, titled "The Sandman," on Mar. 16
