'Daredevil' season 2 news: The Punisher shows off his guns; Stephen Rider tapped to play ally Blake Tower

It's no secret: The Punisher is going to be appear a lot in "Daredevil" season two. And now, actor, Jon Bernthal, lets another secret out of the bag: his character's arsenal.
Netflix sure is getting busier with its bunch of Marvel series. While working on getting more actors and actresses on board for 2016's "Luke Cage" and this year's "Jessica Jones," it is also whipping its wonders for the second season of "Daredevil." That show, after all, is what set into motion fans' trust that Netflix can do not just a decent but also great superhero show.
But while there hasn't been any shortage of indications that all three shows are in production and in development, no one has actually ever seen official images for any of the shows, even "Jessica Jones," which will pilot ahead of the two.
That said, it might take some time before viewers finally get their official "Daredevil" season 2 fill. However, that does not mean that there will be a news drought, as someone from the inside, fortunately, understands the pain of waiting.
Bernthal, who is confirmed to be playing Frank Castle aka The Punisher, has gone to Twitter to give fans a season two special treat. Writing, "PUNISH," he posted a photo of himself standing in front of guns — lots and lots of them.
Of course, fans would most probably prefer a photo of the 38-year-old actor in The Punisher's costume, but this photo is better than nothing. It at least hints that the character will be as brutal as he has been depicted in the comics.
The Punisher had become a vigilante of sorts, making his own vow of revenge against criminals and kidnapping or torturing them and sometimes even resorting to murder (hence the alter-ego name). This was caused by the murder of his wife and kids.
Another piece of good news was dropped by Deadline this week. New York City District Attorney, Blake Tower, had been cast. "Shameless" actor, Stephen Rider, will play one of Daredevil's (Charlie Cox) allies, helping him capture Hell's Kitchen's criminals.
No release date had been set yet for "Daredevil" season two but it is expected to drop sometime in 2016.
