'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' cast update: Stephanie Corneliussen joins as Valentina Vostok

Though "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is not in need of another stellar actress, it just added yet another one under its belt. Joining the freshman season of the upcoming superhero TV series is "Mr. Robot's" Stephanie Corneliussen.
TV Line has announced that Corneliussen, who plays Joanna Wellick in the hit USA show, "Mr. Robot," had been cast in The CW's upcoming "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." The actress will be stepping into the role of Valentina Vostok, whom fans of DC Comics may also know as Negative Woman when she was with the Doom Patrol or White Queen in later incarnations.
The website also posted the following casting description-slash-episode synopsis for the character: "Valentina is described as a gifted and beautiful Soviet physicist who will stop at nothing to defend her precious 'Motherland.' When the Legends encounter her at the height of the Cold War, they suspect her of working with Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) on a secret weapon. Ray/The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Leonard/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) must vie for Valentina's affection in an attempt to thaw her cold heart, and find out where her allegiance truly lies — before she completes her project and potentially turns the tide of the Cold War."
"Legends of Tomorrow" is a spin-off of two other The CW series, "Arrow" and "The Flash." As already mentioned in the description, it will star characters that have made their initial appearances in both shows. It brings with it not only superhero fiction but also elements of time travel as Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) travels through time and prevent Vandal Savage's (Casper Crump) attempts at world destruction.
Executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, has already teased the start of the filming for the series. However, there is no definite release date yet on "Legends of Tomorrow."
Stay tuned for updates.
