'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' season 2 spoilers: Nick Zano is Citizen Steel

One of the two new cast members of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 has been revealed and it is actor Nick Zano. He is a series regular and will play the role of Citizen Steel.
According to Deadline, the producers of the show did not give details about the character but it is most likely to follow the source material, the comic book. Citizen Steel's alter ego is a historian named Dr. Nate Heywood, a third-generation superhero introduced in 2007.
His grandfather Henry Heywood is Commander Steel, who was a member of the Justice Society of America during the World War II. Henry passed on the suit to his grandson Henry Heywood III, also known as Hank, who was introduced in 1984. Hank was operated on so that he could have the same abilities as his grandfather. He was eventually killed off. He is the cousin Nate.
Unlike his grandfather and cousin, Nate acquired his powers through an attack ordered by Vandal Savage. Savage has ordered to wipe out Golden Age heroes' bloodlines and has sent Reichsmark to attack the Heywoods. A former college football star, Nate's leg was amputated during an accident that has left him in crutches. During the attack, Nate hit the villain with his crutches and his liquid metal blood poured over him. He was accompanied to the doctor by Hawkman. The liquid metal blood was absorbed by Nate and eventually formed to restore his leg and gave him super strength.
Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) was the main villain in the first season, while Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) had a recurring role. The first season also had Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) as a regular and she is now one of the characters to be replaced along with Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).
Another character who will join the team of heroes will be Vixen, but no official casting has been announced yet.
"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will premiere on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. on The CW network.
