"Dragon Ball Super" is going on a one-week hiatus. However, fans can expect the action to heat up when the show returns as Goku will finally face off against Zamasu.

The last two episodes of "Dragon Ball Super" had been relatively low on the action but high on character development and exposition as the series opted to focus on Future Trunks. Episode 51 gave fans a look at how the older versions of Trunks and Mai met in the future, while episode 52 saw the long overdue reunion of Future Trunks and Gohan. As expected, the time displaced warrior was shocked at how different this version of Gohan was to his hardened, battle-scarred, one-armed mentor.

While this is happening, Beerus and Whis realized that Black Goku had the same ki as Zamasu, an apprentice kaioshin.

Episode 53, titled "Reveal Black's True Identity! Off to the Kaioshin Realm of Universe 10," will see Beerus, Whis, and Goku traveling to Universe 10. Goku challenges Zamasu to a fight in order to verify his ki.

The trailer for the upcoming episode shows that the God of Destruction, Whis, and Goku have arrived at Universe 10 and the Kai and his apprentice, Zamasu, greeting them. The older-looking Kai has a box that he shows the contents to Beerus and Whis. It appears that the box contains rings — 4 green ones and a silver one. The clip also shows Goku and Zamasu fighting, with the green-skinned apprentice easily evading and throwing off all of Goku's attacks.

It has been said that Zamasu is disdainful of humans, although it hasn't been explained why. The clip also doesn't give any indication that he's against humans nor does it hint as to who emerged victorious in the brawl. But fans can see that Zamasu appears very calm and expressionless while fighting Goku.

Unfortunately, viewers would have to wait a little bit longer before they can discover whether there's a connection between Zamasu and Black.

So far, there's no reason given as to why the show has taken a short break, but fans are hoping that it's because the animators are hard at work polishing the upcoming episodes.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 53 will be aired on Fuji TV on July 31 at 9 a.m.
