It looks like "Dragon Ball Super" fans won't have to deal with those sometimes-pesky subtitles anymore as it has been announced that the Japanese series will be arriving on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim come the New Year.

An English dub version of the hit Japanese anime will be heading to Adult Swim's Toonami beginning Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017. The network will air the first season, which consists of 26 episodes, according to reports. The media outlet also released an exclusive clip from the first episode of the English dub version.

As for the Japanese version, fans are now anticipating the upcoming three episodes: 70, 71, and 72. As previously reported, the titles of all three episodes have been released online.

Fans don't have to wait too long for the next episode since it will be airing on Dec. 11, Sunday. Titled "Champa's Challenge! This Time We Face Off in Baseball," episode 70 will serve as a filler before the real story picks back up. In this episode, fans will get to see Universe 6 and 7 competing in a baseball game.

The following episode's title strongly emphasizes the death of a main character. Titled "Goku Dies! Assassination order that must be performed," it will reportedly see the return of the most powerful assassin alive—Hit. He will be hired to kill Goku, and it definitely seems like he will succeed, if the title is anything to go by. But who enlisted Hit to assassinate Goku? It has been said that the answer to that question will also be revealed in episode 71, which will air on Dec. 18.

But Goku will make it out alive, as episode 72 is titled "Counter-attack? An invisible assassination skill!" Airing on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, the episode is definitely a gift to fans rooting for Goku. It seems that the hero will not perish, but managed to survive somehow.

However, it remains to be seen if there is any truth to these theories, so fans should take this news with a grain of salt for now.
