'Elementary' season 5 episode 3 spoilers: Holmes learns a secret about Captain Gregson's girlfriend

A secret must be kept from Captain Gregson (Aidan Quinn) in the upcoming episode 3, titled "Render, and Then Seize Her," of the fifth season of the American procedural drama "Elementary."
Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) learns confidential information from Captain Gregson's girlfriend (Virginia Madsen) after she hires him for a case. However, she does not want Gregson to learn about the case. Holmes and Watson (Lucy Liu), on the other hand, team up again to join the NYPD's search for an abducted woman.
The promo trailer for "Render, and Then Seize Her" shows Holmes and Watson working together on the case of a missing woman. Meanwhile, the NYPD may have to arrest people who are undressed.
Holmes and Watson so far have a good relationship right at the start of this season. However, creator Robert Doherty had previously revealed that the partners in crime may face a couple of bumps on the road soon.
"'[Holmes is] a little concerned," Doherty told Entertainment Weekly. "He realizes that soon [Watson] will have been a detective longer than she was a sober companion. He's always said she has something of a professional wanderlust, and he's concerned that maybe the sadness that he has detected has something to do with the approach of this anniversary. Joan makes it clear that she's quite happy being a detective, but at the same time, she misses helping people."
Meanwhile, the previous episode, titled "Worth Several Cities," saw the abduction of Holmes by a leader of a local street gang. Apparently, the gang wants to use him in searching a person responsible for targeting one of his men. Watson, on the other hand, was confused whether to grant a personal favor for Shinwell (Nelsan Ellis) or not.
In other news, actor Jon Huertas may appear again in the future episode as drug dealer El Halcon.
"Elementary" season 5 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
