Marshall Bruce Mathers III, professionally known as Eminem, may be on an album production limbo since 2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

Fans have already thrown in the towel bearing in mind that Eminem will not have any output for this year following his eighth studio album.

But there is still that light left at the end of the "Slim Shady" tunnel as word has been rhyming on the rumor mill that Eminem is locked in the studio brewing a back-to-the-roots brew, according to Media Mass.

According to the source, there are already eight tracks recorded but everything has been hush-hush on this ongoing endeavor.

"It's still in the early stages. He's got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper," the source mentioned to Media Mass.

If such guess work is actually true, then expect Eminem's return with a rap soap opera intriguingly echoing his origins from 1999's The Slim Shady LP and 2000's The Marshall Mathers LP. Both albums have Dr. Dre's signature mischievous sound effects, fluid-like basslines and sputtering pop rhythms.

Eminem still has another project, though, that is struggling to break free from its trap. According to a Twitter post from Mo Thugs rapper Big Sloan, Eminem will be featured on his rap dittie along with "Life After Death Row" actor/rhymer KXNG Crooked. The said collaboration will be dropped anytime this week as mentioned.

In addition to this development in the Eminem camp, Snoop Dogg has mentioned during a radio interview with DJ Whoo Kid's "The Whoolywood Shuffle" via YouTube the likelihood of a summer tour which will feature Eminem, Dr. Dre and recent Grammy Award-winner Kendrick Lamar.

"We're trying to get it together," the "Young, Wild, and Free" artist said. "Dre said he want it to be myself, him, Kendrick, Eminem. It's a wish list that could possibly become a reality if all parties agree to disagree. I'd love to make it happen. I love everybody involved. I just want what I'm worth and I'm a do what I do."
