Things are getting heated up between Cookie and Angelo, but it seems that whatever they have will be stalled due to Lucious' intervention in "Empire" season three. What could this mean for the Lyon head?

In the previous installment's finale, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) decided that it was over between her and Lucious (Terrence Howard) after the ultimate betrayal that led the latter to tie the knot with Anika (Grace Gealey), who is obviously one of the show's villains.

This season, Cookie will find love in another man's arms. Enter Angelo (Taye Diggs) and Cookie regains the smile she once had during her early years with Lucious. However, it seems that Lucious isn't very happy about Cookie's new-found happiness.

As seen in the previous episode titled "Cupid Kills," Angelo invited Cookie to a concert where she enjoys the opera. However, things took a quick turn when she overhears some of Angelo's acquaintances making fun of her so she leaves the date without saying goodbye to Angelo.

Angelo doesn't seem to be giving up immediately on this tough Cookie and Jamal (Jussie Smollett) seems to like the idea of his mom finding new love so he helps Angelo get some time with Cookie. Though Cookie is annoyed to see Angelo again, it's obvious that things are building up well... except for Lucious' entry.

Lucious has warned Angelo that he won't have Cookie's heart since the Lyon heads always end up finding each other no matter what. Angelo appears to shrug off Lucious' remarks.

Now that Lucious knows exactly what's going on, it seems that he will try to intervene as much as he can and fans may see him trying to get Cookie back in "Empire" season three. Cookie definitely deserves to be happy and this could be her chance, but with Lucious constantly getting in the middle, she may not find the love she never really received from Lucious.

Will Lucious fight his way back into Cookie's heart or will Angelo's wooing prevail? How will this affect Lucious' marriage to Anika and the already complicated life inside the Lyons' den?
