Things will continue to go intense in the upcoming chapter 498 of "Fairy Tail" as Irene Belserion will order Erza assassinated.

According to reports, the upcoming chapter of "Fairy Tail" will open with Neinhart telling Irene of the whereabouts of Erza. Upon hearing what Neinhart tells her, Irene will order Neinhart to kill Erza. However, knowing that his Historia of the Dead magic will not stand a chance against that of Erza's power, Neinhart will hesitate to cave in to the demand of Irene.

Nonetheless, despite Neinhart's reluctance, it is alleged that Irene will still convince him to kill Erza, and that, if Neinhart fails to deliver what she wants, he may suffer from the consequences of his disobedience in the hands of Irene.

With this, it is predicted that, eventually, Neinhart will give in to what Irene wants and challenge Erza to a showdown of force. It is said that Erza will accept the challenge and will decline the help being offered by Minerva and the rest of the team.

Since Neinhart knows that his Historia of the Dead Magic will be no match to the powers of Erza, it is said that he will use simple magic instead. On the other hand, Erza will be using her Heaven's Wheel Armor spatial magic. However, to the surprise of everyone, Neinhart's blast of light limits Erza's attacks on him.

Out of the blue, Larcade Dragneel enters the scene as he complains about Neinhart feeling exhausted in his battle with Erza. As he attempts to use his magic against Erza, Sting Sting Eucliffe will enter the scene as well and counter the former's assault on Erza.

Meanwhile, in the guild hall, Gray Fullbuster, attempts to attack Invel, who has earlier frozen Natsu Dragneel and the rest of the team. According to other sources, Lyon Vastia will assist Gray. Despite getting help, though, his efforts will end in vain as Invel makes him doubt his own power.
